Power Health Omega 3 Liquid has been formulated especially for children and contains no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. It is a concentrated source of the essential Omega 3 fatty acids EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). Ingredients: Low Odour Fish Oil, Natural Strawberry Flavour, Antioxidant: Vitamin E (as D-Alpha tocopheryl acetate). Each 5ml serving provides a minimum of 30% Omega 3 Fatty Acids, of which: 825mg EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) & 550mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). Suggested intake: Children under 6 years: ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) a day. Children over 6 years & adults: one 5ml teaspoon a day. Take on its own or add to food or drink, such as yoghurt, milkshakes or fruit juice. Do not exceed the recommended intake.

For children from 6 months to 12 years, one bottle contains 100 servings (3 months supply). Super Hero is the only fish oil that, in a 1ml drop, contains the same amount of DHA found in a tin of sardines* with 465 mg DHA, 133mg EPA & 693mg Omega 3 in total. Dosage: 1ml a day provides an optimum amount of DHA (balanced with EPA) suitable for most age groups, but this can be increased as the child gets older and in some cases it could be increased even further depending on specific conditions or dietary needs. For children over 12 a higher ratio of EPA to DHA is preferable and our Lion Heart fish oil would be more suitable. To put the amounts into context, a typical 140g serving of farmed salmon (the size of a computer mouse) contains about 1,680mg of DHA and a tin of sardines (including the bones) contains around 433mg DHA.
